Earn an Undergraduate Certificate in Creative Writing

This certificate is designed to help students of all majors develop both their reading and their creative writing skills. Students will discuss the creative process, study examples of well-crafted poems, stories, and narrative essays, and develop their own ideas and techniques. Literary journals and the publication process will be discussed.

The Creative Writing certificate features a community approach where students receive feedback on their work from both peers and instructors with a focus on revision. At the completion of the certificate, a student will have their own portfolio of original, revised, creative work.
